Godcast

God's puppet featured triggers for seven radically expressive heads, animated weather cycles, moving cloud BG/FG, and hand sets.

Brahma had an expressive face and four draggable hands. His lotus was rigged to sway along with neck bends, creating a "floating" appearance.

Joan's puppet had alternating fire and smoke triggers, sword-play animations, and natural facial expressions.

RBG's puppet was simple but expressive, featuring a nutcracker jaw, moving pupils, and a triggerable "notorious" crown.

About this project

God (known for Creation, The Great Flood, and the Twitter account @TheTweetofGod) also hosted His own podcast. Each episode of "Godcast" featured interviews with some of God's favorite creations; living celebrities, dead historical figures, and rival deities.

Along with fully producing the podcast remotely, we concieved of and created animated audiograms and promotional videos. We accomplished most of the animation with mo-cap puppets. All guests on the show were either celebrities speaking as themselves or comedians portraying historical and mythical figures. Puppet designs were created from iconic photographs or artwork, an homage to animator/director Terry Gilliam.
